Description
ETHIBOND EXCEL Polyester Sutures are sterile surgical sutures that are nonabsorbable and braided in green. They are composed of poly (ethylene, terephthalate), a relatively nonreactive nonabsorbable compound. This compound acts as a lubricant, enhancing the physical properties of the uncoated suture by improving handling qualities compared to the braided, uncoated fiber.
Features and Benefits
- Nonabsorbable and braided for durability and strength
- Composed of poly (ethylene, terephthalate), a relatively nonreactive nonabsorbable compound
- Coating improves handling qualities compared to uncoated fiber
- Prepared from high molecular weight, long-chain, linear polyesters with recurrent aromatic rings as an integral component
- Uniformly coated with polybutilate or poly {oxy-1, 4 butanediyloxy (1,6-dioxo-1, 6 hexanediyl)}
- Braided for optimal handling properties
- Dyed green for enhanced visibility in the surgical field
